Grant Noble has grown up in the surf community here in Newport. From a young age he was a regular longboarding at Blackies as well as charging upper streets on a shortboard or big wedge bodysurfing. He lived in the water. So it was only natural for him to start creating his own surf craft. That started like many, in his parents garage and backyard. Making a mess and a lot of mistakes along the way. Grant started hanging out around the Russell Surfboards shop looking for tips and hints on board building, and I could just see he had the eye for shaping. So we gave him a proper shaping room and tools to start that journey. And several years later he is shaping world class surfboards, ones that he surfs on everyday and is constanly improving upon. The future is bright for Grant and we are stoked to have him in the shop everyday with us.
